The Federal Government's Higher Education Package: Our
Universities - Backing Australia's Future
In 2002 the Federal government conducted a review of the
higher education sector. In the 2003 Federal budget the
outcomes of that review were announced as a higher
education package called Our Universities - Backing
Australia's Future.
ANSWD has a number of concerns regarding this higher
education package, in particular the Learning Entitlement
proposal, the Commonwealth Learning Scholarships
Programme, and the package as a whole in how it will
adversely affect students with disabilities.
